New this summer, Junior Exploratorium is for students entering grades 1 through 3, and will run at the Elementary School Campus on the same days and times as the Exploratorium program.
This is a day camp focused on hands-on projects, grounded in our core belief that all children are innately creative. Our project-based approach means children solve problems collaboratively to reach a shared goal. Our program is designed to build skills in cooperation, communication, and leadership, and to inspire our students to be lifelong learners, curious about the world around them.
Activities are led by educators experienced with early primary grades, and talented teaching artists from the community. Student topics may include:
- Storybook Theater
- Puppet Design
- Rhythm and Movement
- Creative Cooking
- Drawing and Painting in Nature
